On October 26, 2024 , Deng Xingchen, a young teacher at our college, led Korean international student Lee Soobeen (Li Xiaobin) , to participate in the Shandong Provincial College Students' Telling Chinese Stories in Korean competition, and won the third prize. The competition was held at Qingdao Binhai College. 21 Chinese and Korean student contestants from 18 universities across the province participated in the competition, using Korean as a bridge to tell Chinese stories and show the unique charm of Chinese culture.
During the competition, Lee Soobeen (Li Xiaobin) vividly interpreted The Story of Yimeng Mountain with his smooth Korean and affectionate narrative, vividly presented the tenacity of the Yimeng spirit, the long history and culture of the Linyi region, as well as the development and changes of the new era and foreign exchanges and cooperation, and won unanimous recognition from everyone. After fierce competition, Lee Soobeen (Li Xiaobin) stood out in the competition and won the third prize in the Korean student group. Instructor Deng Xingchen won the title of Excellent Instructor.
The competition is co-organized by Qingdao Binhai College and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Qingdao, and co-organized by Shandong Education International Exchange Association. This is a competition of language skills and a grand event for cultural exchanges. It not only provides a platform for participating students to show themselves and improve their abilities, but also builds a bridge for young students from China and South Korea to enhance understanding and deepen friendship.
